The following describes DASTEC Corporation Annual Software Maintenance (ASM) policy available to all customers. Purchases of any software items developed by DASTEC have a 90 day warranty period from date of purchase. This warranty will provide the user telephone/fax support and problem diagnosis during normal working hours and corrected software for reported defects.

DASTEC offers an Annual Software Maintenance contract to extend the warranty of the purchased item(s) for one (1) year from the original date of the software purchase. This contract will provide automatic announcement of availability of software upgrades due to product enhancement and/or defect corrections. The new software releases will be maintained at DASTEC's web site and can be downloaded by the ASM participant.

The cost of the Annual Software Maintenance is 15% for PC platforms and 20% for all other platforms (20% and 25% for international sales) of the current software's list price for each licensed copy. The ASM contract may be procured anytime within the first year to extend the original warranty period to one (1) year. If the original purchased software version is not up-to-date than an upgrade to the current version must first be purchased, then an ASM contract can be applied to the current software version. With the upgrade purchase, the ASM contract will start from the date of the upgrade not the original purchase date.

Software upgrades are priced according to the following schedule:

  • Less than 18 Months from Purchase Date: 25% of current list price for each licensed copy
  • Greater than 18 Months from Purchase Date: 50% of current list price for each licensed copy

DASTEC Corporation maintains the right to terminate or change this policy at any time. All customers affected by any policy changes or termination will be notified in writing 30 days before such changes or termination take effect
